Disclaimer: The Pioneer 500 & 520 Lug Nut Confusion — If you are shopping for Pioneer 500 or 520 wheels, you will likely see major aftermarket databases (and even some retailer spec sheets) incorrectly list the lug nut size as 10mm x 1.25. This is a widespread carryover error from Honda's ATV line (like the Rubicon and Foreman), which shares the same 4/110 bolt pattern.

The correct factory stud size for ALL Honda Pioneer UTVs is 12mm x 1.50.
Critical Safety Warning: Lug Nut Seating Almost all Honda Pioneer wheels (both factory steel and aluminum) utilize a 60-degree tapered (conical) seat. This creates a "lug-centric" alignment, meaning the angled shape of the lug nut is what actually centers the wheel on the vehicle's hub as you tighten it.

Never use flat-seat (flanged) lug nuts on a tapered wheel. Flat-seat nuts require a hub-centric wheel design. Using them on your Pioneer will cause the wheel to mount slightly off-center, leading to severe high-speed vibrations and a high risk of catastrophic wheel stud failure.

Honda Pioneer Acceptable Tire Sizes

The chart below highlights the various size tires you can install on your Honda Pioneer both with and without modifications. We capped the acceptable size upgrades to be tire sizes you can install with minimal upgrades and enhancements. If you want to do a full custom build there is virtually no limit to the tire sizes you can install.
